In a world filled with endless to-do lists, responsibilities, and dreams, finding that precious balance between being a rockstar entrepreneur and a loving mom can be a real challenge. But here's the good news: You have the power to shape your day and your mindset right from the moment you wake up.

Starting your day with positivity

Picture this: You wake up, the sun is gently streaming through your window, and you take a deep, rejuvenating breath. Instead of immediately rushing to your never-ending tasks, you start your day by speaking words of encouragement and positivity to yourself.

"I am capable of achieving my goals." "I am a loving and attentive mother." "My actions today will bring me closer to my dreams."

These are just a few examples of morning affirmations, and they can set the tone for your entire day. By intentionally directing your thoughts towards positivity and self-belief, you create a mental atmosphere that nurtures productivity and happiness.

Select affirmations that uplift your desired feelings and actions. It's perfectly okay if you don't fully believe in them or haven't taken those actions yet. When I first started affirmations, I thought I had to wholeheartedly believe everything I said. I found that they actually worked better for me when I chose affirmations that I wanted to believe. Trust that, with time, as you repeat your affirmations, embrace them wholeheartedly, and take steps towards them, those desired feelings and actions will more effortlessly become a part of your life.

If you are religious at all, like I am, you might want to first begin with a prayer, asking God for help achieving your goals so that you may become a better version of yourself.


When you consistently practice morning affirmations, something magical happens. You start to believe in yourself and your abilities more than ever before. This newfound self-confidence becomes the fuel that drives your productivity. Sounds pretty easy right?

As women entrepreneurs, you'll find that work becomes more focused, your decisions become more clear, and your goals become more achievable. Mothers, you will discover that you are better equipped to handle the daily challenges with the patience and motivation you desire.


But don't let the magic stop in the morning! Throughout your busy day, sprinkle in affirmations like little drops of joy. Here are some examples:

  • "I am capable of handling anything that comes my way."

  • "I am creating a work-life balance that brings me peace and joy."

  • "I am proud of all that I've accomplished.

These mini pep talks reinforce your positive mindset, keep you on track, and remind you of your incredible capabilities, even during the most hectic moments. When I find myself feeling overwhelmed, I take a deep breath and say aloud at least one affirmation that I need to recite in that moment.

Example: The kids are screaming at each other while I'm working on writing this blog, distracting me and my train of thought. I close my eyes, take a deep breath, and say aloud "I am calm and patient. I am able to regain clarity to focus on my tasks easily." Deal with the issue and continue my work.

The calm and patient affirmation is one that I say in the morning as well, so repeating this when I need throughout the day makes it much more effective.


Embracing morning affirmations isn't just a quick fix; it's a beautiful journey of self-discovery, empowerment, and happiness. With continued use, you'll notice that positivity becomes your default setting, and your days become more productive and joy-filled.
